the Interactive
Shop Wall

Digital Innovation Program

Senior Art Director, Miette L. Johnson. Creative Producer, Clair Rivera. Creative Partner, Random Studio.

As an exploration of conceptual retail vehicles, and part of the Store-of-the-Future initiative, Tommy Hilfiger partnered with Random Studio (Amsterdam) to develop an interactive shop wall fusing inspiration and commerce, allowing consumers to shop directly from a range of multimedia content. Integrated with tommy.com, users can explore collections, add pieces to their wishlist and complete their purchase via the link sent directly to their mobile device. The instrument was debuted at Bread&&Butter in Berlin, and showcased at Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2016 experiential runway event in New York.

The Interactive Shop Wall fuses inspiration and commerce, allowing consumers to shop directly from a range of multimedia content. Motion sensors detect a consumer’s proximity to activate an attract mode, while directional sound enhances a user’s individual experience.

“Our pioneering spirit and focus on the consumer is taking us into really interesting areas… experimenting with digital technology in our products and the way we work.”

— Tommy Hilfiger
